Sarstedt, Nümbrecht, Germany, has added a 10 µL option to its line of Minivette devices designed for precise and hygienic collection, transfer, and subsequent dispensing of small capillary blood samples for point-of-care tests. Blood is easily collected via capillary action into the collection capillary of the Minivette device. The sample is held securely in the capillary during transfer without spills and then dispensed onto the test field or into a microtube with a slight push of the opposing integral piston. Minivette devices are also available in 20 µL, 50 µL, 100 µL, and 200 µL volumes, and are offered plain or prepared with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid or heparin.
