Mirroring Access Medical’s focus on speed and efficiency in its testing, this transition occurred in six months. The new partnership also dramatically increases its daily testing capacity and workforce.
With the new Roche machinery in place, Access Medical can now process 5 times its previous capacity at their 25,000 square-foot, fully-automated facility in Jupiter Florida. To handle this increase in potential clients, they will also need 60 new employees by year’s end—40 of which have already been hired—bringing their total workforce to over 200 statewide.
Access Medical, a specialty diagnostic laboratory, uses a streamlined process which uses half the amount of blood from each patient on average. This allows for doctors and their patients to receive results within 24 hours in almost all cases. Patients also enjoy a quicker, easier test draw, and the lab uses half the number of vials, significantly reducing waste.
