Multi-disciplinary cancer center will implement Halo Intelligence platform to enhance precision oncology capabilities across Pacific Northwest.
VieCure Inc has announced that Summit Cancer Centers has joined its community oncology care network, bringing the Spokane, Washington-based multi-disciplinary cancer center into VieCure’s AI-powered clinical ecosystem.
Summit Cancer Centers will implement VieCure’s Halo Intelligence platform to enhance precision oncology capabilities and streamline clinical workflows for patients across the Pacific Northwest. The centers, which have more than 25 years of experience in the region, provide medical oncology, radiation oncology, surgical oncology, imaging, laboratory services, and interventional radiology.
The integration will give Summit providers access to real-time clinical decision support and enhanced patient care coordination powered by AI and data analytics capabilities. The platform’s flexible approach enables integration with existing systems and multiple data sources, reducing operational complexity while enhancing clinical decision-making speed and precision.
“We built the Halo Intelligence platform to be the most robust operating system for oncology care,” says Michael Power, chief executive officer of VieCure, in a release. “Summit Cancer Centers exemplifies the kind of innovative, patient-focused practice that drives our mission to make precision oncology practical for every provider, in every setting.”
Addressing Data Complexity Challenges
The collaboration addresses growing complexity in oncology data management and the need for sophisticated tools to handle molecular testing, treatment guidelines, and compliance requirements. VieCure’s platform will enable Summit’s practitioners to better integrate disparate data sources and provide more targeted, personalized treatment recommendations.
Summit Cancer Centers is recognized as an innovative community cancer center offering radioligand therapy and serves as a leading site for phase 1 clinical trials. The centers’ specialized treatment capabilities align with VieCure’s mission to make high-quality cancer care accessible in community settings.
“The future of oncology lies in precision medicine. To deliver excellent care, we need access to analytical tools,” says Arvind Chaudhry, MD, PhD, medical oncologist and director of Summit Cancer Centers, in a release. “Many patients prefer to receive treatment close to home rather than traveling to large urban centers.”
Rapid Implementation Timeline
VieCure provides implementation services and ongoing support beyond the technology platform. The company plans to implement Halo Intelligence with Summit in 60 days.
“Our dedicated client success team has developed a proven methodology that accelerates deployment without compromising quality or disrupting care,” says Carlos Castilleja, executive vice president of operations and client success at VieCure, in a release.
VieCure launched in 2016, and its community cancer center network now includes more than 100 locations. The Halo Intelligence platform serves as an AI-enabled clinical decision support and electronic medical record platform designed to assist clinicians in managing personalized treatment plans throughout cancer diagnosis, therapy, and follow-up care.
