The generative AI tool now integrates with Labcorp Diagnostic Assistant and Labcorp Link platforms to streamline test selection at point of care.

Labcorp has expanded its AI-powered Test Finder tool beyond its website to integrate directly into electronic health record (EHR) systems and companion platforms, aiming to simplify lab test selection for clinicians at the point of care.

The generative AI tool is now available through Labcorp Diagnostic Assistant, which is embedded within EHRs, and Labcorp Link, the company’s browser-based platform. The expansion follows the tool’s initial launch on Labcorp.com in August.

Test Finder allows providers to enter symptoms, conditions, or testing needs in plain language and receive a curated, AI-generated list of clinically relevant lab tests from Labcorp’s menu. The integration eliminates the need for clinicians to toggle between systems, recall test codes or navigate multiple platforms.

“Embedding Test Finder into a clinician’s workflow streamlines the process of researching and selecting lab tests from complex menus,” says Dr Brian Caveney, chief medical and scientific officer at Labcorp, in a release. “By accelerating access to this essential information, we’re enabling faster decisions, earlier diagnoses, and ultimately, better patient outcomes.”

Integration Across Multiple Platforms

More than 750 health systems and physician groups have implemented Labcorp Diagnostic Assistant nationwide. The platform, designed using Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources standards, provides real-time access to laboratory data, insights, and self-service capabilities within EHRs.

Labcorp Diagnostic Assistant was recognized with a 2025 Modern Healthcare Innovators Award for advancing clinical workflow efficiency and improving provider experience.

Test Finder is also now accessible through Labcorp Link, which supports nearly half a million lab orders each month. Link users can access the AI tool through a direct connection to Labcorp.com. The platform includes features such as add-on test requests, specimen pickup scheduling, supply ordering and real-time billing assistance.

AI Technology and Infrastructure

Built with Amazon Bedrock and large language model technology, Test Finder runs on Amazon Web Services‘ enterprise AI infrastructure. The company emphasizes the platform supports safe and responsible use of generative AI.

The expansion builds on positive customer feedback since the tool’s initial launch, according to Labcorp. The integration aims to enhance clinical decision making by providing immediate access to test information within existing clinical workflows.

Labcorp operates as a global laboratory services company serving clients in approximately 100 countries and performing more than 700 million tests annually.
