Under a recently announced agreement, DiaSorin, Saluggia, Italy, will adopt the Fluent laboratory automation solution from Tecan Group, Männedorf, Switzerland, as its nucleic acid extraction platform. The new platform will be used in combination with DiaSorin’s Liaison polymerase chain reaction (PCR) system to provide users with a complete sample-to-result system for molecular diagnostics.
Supplied through Tecan Partnering, the Fluent platform will be optimized for use with DiaSorin’s extraction chemistry and the automated PCR setup of the Liaison molecular diagnostic 96-well disc. Fluent seeks to deliver more capacity, increased speed, and heightened precision, throughput, and walkaway time.
