Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc, Hercules, Calif, plans to host the second of two biomarker symposia focusing on current approaches and advances in protein biomarker discovery, validation, and characterization.
The free event is planned for Oct 26, from 8:15 am to 3:30 pm, at the Best Western Inn at Longwood, in Boston, Mass.
Experts from research institutions will discuss current approaches to biomarker discovery, validation, and characterization. Successful methodologies for biomarker validation and identification will be presented, along with information on Bio-Rad’s available biomarker discovery services.
The program will include updates on guidelines for effective study design and discussion of applications of SELDI-TOF protein expression profiling to discover candidate biomarkers.
An authority in the area surface plasmon resonance will describe Bio-Rad’s approach to quantitating the kinetics of multiple molecular interactions simultaneously.
The slate of speakers includes Dr Sean Downing, from Harvard Children’s Hospital; Dr Hongshan Li, from Pall Corp; Dr Momar Ndao, from McGill University, Canada; and Dr Robert Fisher, from the National Cancer Institute.
