Degree Controls (DegreeC), Milford, NH, has launched the °C Point handheld anemometer. This airflow measurement instrument measures and displays air velocity and temperature simultaneously and is designed for face velocity and downflow testing of laboratory hoods and other high-performance applications. °C Point is capable of measuring with plus or minus 3% accuracy, in accordance with the ANSI/ASHRAE 110 and NSF 49 standards for laboratory fume hood and biosafety cabinet testing. °C Point application software compensates for changing humidity and barometric pressure and saves airflow experiments via Bluetooth to your Android or iOS device. Sensor heads are rugged, designed with conformal coated electronics and a sealed enclosure for durability. With an onboard LCD display, built-in USB port, and Bluetooth-enabled °C Point application software, °C Point can be used to take single point, spot measurements, or log data over time. It is made to fit comfortably in your hand and also interfaces with a wide variety of standard camera mounts and selfie sticks. In addition, sensor heads are field replaceable and can be changed out by you, at your location. Certifiers and EH&S professionals can register their recalibration online and receive their replacement sensor head in advance of returning the old one so that there is no downtime associated with recalibration.
