DWK Life Sciences, Millville, NJ, has expanded and modernized its glass vial production facility in Rockwood, Tenn, to meet the increased borosilicate glass vial market demand for vaccines, diagnostics, and therapeutics. The company combined new equipment installations with significant improvements to existing equipment to more than double production capacity. With a substantial capital investment into the facility, DWK Life Sciences now operates fully automated production lines and a centralized Class 8 certified clean room. “By converting to state-of-the-art lines, complete with dimensional and cosmetic vision inspection equipment, we’ve increased productivity in the plant and are delivering industry leading quality for glass vials,” says Rick Schwartz, senior vice president of marketing and sales at DWK Life Sciences.
