CLS v2025.2 includes tailored solutions for clinical pathology and genomics labs, plus multilingual AI chat assistance.

Clinisys has launched CLS v2025.2, an updated version of its Clinisys Laboratory Solution platform that introduces specialized configurations for clinical pathology and genomics laboratories in North America, along with an embedded AI-powered support agent.

The release builds on the company’s August 2025 CLS v2025.1 release and includes CLS CARE, an AI chat agent that provides multilingual guidance on functionality, configuration, and usage directly within the laboratory information system environment.

The new clinical pathology and genomics laboratory solutions deliver cloud-based workflows, analytics, and pre-configured content packages designed to help laboratories streamline operations and reduce implementation time.

Clinical Laboratory Features

The updated platform offers several capabilities for clinical laboratories, including accelerated implementation through pre-configured content and streamlined workflows. The system provides connectivity features for integration with third-party applications and instruments, along with patient management and automation tools aimed at improving accuracy and clinical outcomes.

The cloud-based solution includes scalable subscriptions to accommodate expanding test menus and laboratory growth, plus web-based dashboards for data analysis and decision-making.

Scientific Laboratory Enhancements

For scientific laboratories, CLS v2025.2 includes multi-level matrix management for food safety testing and Dutch language support with personalized date and time formats. The update allows customization of LabOnline dashboards with widgets and in-system report generation.

Quality control features include updated Westgard Rules, Delta Checks, and automated QC alerts. The platform expands API endpoints for patient, order, and document data integration and advances next-generation sequencing workflows with pool-to-pool testing capabilities.

Additional improvements include enhanced manual order entry for patient records, faster specimen processing options, and venipuncture charge tracking for billing.

AI-Powered Support Integration

CLS CARE operates as an embedded chat agent within the CLS environment, providing context-aware assistance for issue resolution, feature learning, and workflow optimization. The multilingual assistant communicates in English, French, Spanish, and Dutch.

The AI agent generates CLS API code samples in multiple programming languages, including .NET, Java, and Python, to facilitate integration with third-party systems.

“With Clinisys Laboratory Solution, we offer a unified, cloud platform that enables healthcare laboratories to modernize, automate, and scale. CLS is designed to drive efficiency, support data integrity, and deliver real-time insights—helping our customers safeguard health and safety across the globe,” says Chad Meyers, vice president of product management for CLS Healthcare at Clinisys, in a release.

Early Adopter Feedback

Day Kimball Hospital served as an early adopter of CLS for Healthcare. “When Clinisys approached us to be a CLS early adopter, I was all in. I saw a demonstration and how intuitive it was, and I didn’t hesitate at all,” says Deanna Shukis, director of laboratory services at Day Kimball Hospital, in a release. “When it really comes down to it, the level of expertise and skill that I have encountered with the team is astounding.”

Michael Simpson, Clinisys CEO, says the company’s development approach focuses on customer feedback. “We believe that true innovation in healthcare comes from listening—understanding the real-world challenges laboratories face and building solutions that empower them to deliver better patient outcomes,” he says in a release.

The CLS v2025.2 update is available through Clinisys account executives, and additional information is available at the company’s website.
