UgenTec, Hasselt, Belgium, and Hamann Laborautomation, Köln, Germany, recently announced a partnership venture into the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) middleware landscape. The agreement consists of a strategic expertise exchange and working collaboration between the two companies.

Today, UgenTec is focused on clinical diagnostic markets, and its platform, FastFinder, supports tests for gastrointestinal diseases, genetics, oncology, respiratory infections, and sexually transmitted infections. Venturing into diagnostic software quickly demanded a more end-to-end approach.
