This company has introduced two new products to its Hematology line of controls. The first product, Liquichek Hematology Control (A Plus) is a product designed for those laboratories using Abbott Cell-Dyn 5-part differential analyzers that have online reticulocyte counting capability, such as the Abbott Cell-Dyn 4000. This product will enable customers to fulfill quality control requirements for automated hematology testing with one control instead of two separate controls. In addition, this control has an 84-day shelf life and a 7-day open-vial stability. Other product features include three clinically relevant levels of Reticulocytes and an abnormal level of Nucleated Red Blood Cells.
The second product, Liquichek Hematology Control (C Plus) is intended for use on Beckman Coulter 5-part differential analyzers that use volume, conductivity and light scatter technology. This control contains Reticulocytes as well as CBC parameters enabling laboratories to use one control instead of two separate controls. This product can be used to monitor the Beckman Coulter GEN-S, HMX, STKS and MAXM analyzers. It offers 84-day closed-vial and 14 day open-vial stability.
