BioFridge from Sanguis Health, Encinitas, Calif, is a portable medical-grade refrigerator designed for transporting blood, plasma, and other temperature-sensitive biological materials safely and efficiently. After six hours of charging from a standard 110-volt AC wall outlet, the BioFridge will operate for approximately 18 hours, keeping products safely within the appropriate temperature range.
All BioFridge devices contain a lidded compartment conveniently located on the top of the units for any products maintained at room temperature. Numerous facilities have incorporated the BioFridge into their massive transfusion protocols.
