BioFridge from Sanguis Health, Encinitas, Calif, is a portable medical-grade refrigerator designed for transporting blood, plasma, and other temperature-sensitive biological materials safely and efficiently. After six hours of charging from a standard 110-volt AC wall outlet, the BioFridge will operate for approximately 18 hours, keeping products safely within the appropriate temperature range. 

All BioFridge devices contain a lidded compartment conveniently located on the top of the units for any products maintained at room temperature. Numerous facilities have incorporated the BioFridge into their massive transfusion protocols. The BioFridge can also be sent proactively to high-risk areas of the hospital like surgery or labor and delivery.
