The analytical CRO will use Labguru’s cloud-based system to manage projects, protocols, and inventory .
Primera Analytical Solutions has selected Cenevo’s Labguru electronic lab notebook and inventory management platform to transition from paper-based processes to digital workflows.
The FDA-compliant analytical contract research organization will use the cloud-based laboratory data management platform to streamline operations as it scales its business. Labguru combines electronic lab notebook capabilities, inventory management, registration, laboratory information management system functions, and AI-based informatics tools in a single platform.
“To support our vision for long-term growth, we needed to embrace digitalization,” says Steve Grossman, vice president of operations at Primera, in a release. “Cenevo’s flexible all-in-one electronic lab notebook and inventory management system is allowing us to take a major step toward reducing operational costs and sample processing time by streamlining activities and increasing efficiency, while simultaneously making it easier to comply with regulations.”
End-to-End Workflow Management
The Cenevo solution will allow Primera to manage projects, protocols, results, and metadata in one structured, traceable system. The platform delivers an end-to-end workflow for managing the entire lifecycle from sample receipt to tracking, testing, and data delivery.
Primera, founded in 2002, provides analytical and bioanalytical services to pharmaceutical and biotech companies from early development through commercialization. The new system includes a customer portal feature that will provide transparency to Primera’s clients.
Cenevo will provide Primera with a validated server and validation package required by the FDA, along with a robust audit trail to ensure data integrity for quality assurance and client reviews. The platform integrates with most lab hardware tools, adding automated data capture and instrument tracking to reduce human errors.
Laboratory Integration Capabilities
Primera will use Labguru’s integrations to connect existing lab instruments, including Mettler Toledo balances and pH meters, along with other instruments that have been challenging to integrate previously. The platform will enable Primera to implement bar coding for patient samples and consumables inventory and supply tracking in its high-volume environment.
The company’s team was able to build and launch a pilot quickly due to the platform’s interface, which allowed them to configure the system with minimal assistance from Cenevo.
“Beyond our specialized CRO solution set, our client-facing team has extensive real-world CRO experience,” says Keith Hale, CEO of Cenevo, in a release. “Our tailored solution and industry experience will help guide Primera through the steps they need to fully embrace automation and digitalization in their highly specialized environment.”
