Eliminates user-to-user variance
AutoCheck has been designed for complete automation of the quality control process. It is an integrated part of the ABL 700 Series STAT analyzer, which measures pH, blood gases, oximetry, electrolytes and metabolites.
This product can eliminate the time consuming manual procedures for measuring quality control solutions on the analyzer. Time studies performed by Argent Consulting, an independent consulting firm, indicate that this product reduces the work-time on running QC measurements by more than 80 percent. Foot traffic between departments also can be reduced because the automatic quality control can be remotely monitored and controlled from a central PC with the Radiance STAT Analyzer Management Software.
The module holds glass ampules containing QC solutions of up to four different levels that are measured according to the pre-programmed schedule. Before measurement, the QC ampules are automatically temperature controlled and rotated to ensure conditioning. The analyzer can be set up to automatically perform corrective actions, such as repeating QC measurements or locking the analyzer, in case of QC errors.
This product can eliminate user-to-user variance and the inaccuracy sometimes caused by operator mistakes in the handling of traditional manual quality control. False QC errors can be avoided, and QC results reflect analyzer performance. Radiometer
