OHMIC Instruments Co, Easton, Md, has developed Model MPH, a new, flexible holder-positioner that helps position and hold medical transducers, labware, and other devices.
It locks tight when necessary and sets a tension that is light enough to allow users to maneuver the transducer or other devices into the desired position.
The device is mounted on a steel base plate with adjustable mounting positions on its base, and relies on dual, ball-joint lock fasteners. The arm and clamp are adjustable in 360° planes and accommodate objects that measure up to 2 inches in diameter and weigh up to 1 pound.
The unit is part of the company’s new portable ultrasound power meter, Model PUP-50, and is also sold separately.
