Pathology Inc, Torrance, Calif, has opted for the TigerConnect platform from TigerText, Santa Monica, Calif, to directly deliver critical lab results to physicians’ mobile devices.
Pathology Inc is a full-service lab offering clinical and anatomic pathology testing.

TigerConnect encrypts all aspects of communications, including photo and file attachments, and enables one-to-one communication between systems or among users. TigerText’s secure, HIPAA-compliant messaging network complies with the new HIPAA Omnibus rule changes, which went into effect on September 23.
With delivery and read receipts, TigerText lets the lab’s staff know when a clinician has received an alert, helping reduce the amount of time spent verifying that the physician has, in fact, received the message.
Recipients without the TigerText app on their phone can still receive lab alerts and access the information via a secure browser.
