The highly purified and chemically modified mass spectroscopy grade of aspartic-N™ endoprotease meets the growing requirements of proteomic research. Aspartic-N is offered as mass spectroscopy grade as it has been chemically modified to prevent autolysis, limiting the generation of interfering protease fragments. This feature increases protease stability in strong denaturing buffers and allows them to have consistent activity over longer digestion periods.
MSG-Aspartic-N is a metallo endoproteinase isolated from a mutant of Pseudomonas fragi, which specifically hydrolyzes peptide bonds on the amino side of aspartic acid and cysteine residues. The protease is suitable for automated or manual protein sequencing and comes in 5 mg packaging sizes to minimize waste.
