The TS400 provides quick readings of urine specific gravity, serum or plasma protein concentration and refractive index. It is designed specifically for clinical, chemistry and classroom labs.
The TS400 uses Automatic Temperature Compensation through a patented, bearing actuated, bi-metallic element. Between 60ºF-90ºF (16ºC-32ºC), the unit will automatically compensate for variations in sample, air and unit temperature. The manual includes a full set of conversion tables for protein, urine solids and refractive index.
To use, place the sample on the prism, hold the unit perpendicular to a light source, and look into the eyepiece.
