The integration connects Synapse Pathology with VoiceOver PRO to enable hands-free report generation and CAP-compliant structured data capture.

Fujifilm Healthcare Americas Corp has partnered with Voicebrook Inc to integrate voice-enabled reporting capabilities into its Synapse Pathology digital pathology platform.

The collaboration combines Fujifilm’s pathology PACS with Voicebrook’s VoiceOver PRO reporting platform, allowing pathologists to move from reviewing whole-slide images to generating reports using voice control within a single workflow environment.

The integrated solution enables pathologists to dictate findings, navigate slides, and complete College of American Pathologists (CAP) eCP protocols hands-free while maintaining CAP standards compliance and structured data capture capabilities.

“Fujifilm is committed to bringing digital pathology into the enterprise-imaging mainstream—enabling pathologists to collaborate, review, and report with the same agility as radiology,” says Dr Mark Lloyd, vice president of digital pathology at Fujifilm, in a release. “By integrating with Voicebrook, we’re enriching the slide-to-report workflow with a voice-first reporting paradigm that meets labs where they are and takes them where they’re going.”

Targeting Workflow Efficiency

The partnership addresses workflow challenges by eliminating context switching between slide review and report generation while reducing manual data entry steps. The solution maintains Synapse Pathology’s vendor-agnostic architecture, supporting multiple scanner inputs, DICOM and proprietary formats, and both cloud and on-premises deployment options.

Both platforms are designed for high-volume laboratories and multi-site deployments, positioning the integrated solution for enterprise-level pathology operations.

“Pathologists are under mounting pressure to deliver accurate diagnoses more efficiently,” says Filipe Carreira, chief operating officer at Voicebrook, in a release. “By integrating VoiceOver PRO with Synapse Pathology’s open, vendor-agnostic architecture, we’re offering labs a voice-enabled workflow that aligns with the future of digital pathology.”

The joint solution is currently available to clinical and reference laboratories seeking to enhance diagnostic workflows through integrated digital pathology and reporting capabilities.
