One Lambda Inc, Canoga Park, Calif, a producer of medical diagnostic products, and Stratec Biomedical Systems AG, Germany, a designer and manufacturer of automated systems for clinical diagnostics and biotech, will partner in a supply and development agreement for an automated sample preparation system called LabXpress.

Qiagen, Netherlands, a provider of sample and assay technologies and products, has inked an exclusive contract with the Singapore Ministry of Health to supply sample preparation solutions and molecular tests for the specific detection of influenza H5N1 viruses—better known as avian flu.
