It is now possible to run quantitative insulin assays on standard chemistry analyzers without the hazardous radioactivity of RIAs or the high cost of ELISAs. Kamiya Biomedical Co is introducing its new K-ASSAY® Insulin reagent for the quantitative determination of human insulin in serum or plasma. The insulin reagent was developed for use on most chemistry analyzers such as Roche/Hitachi, Olympus, Beckman Synchron, Abbott Aeroset, and others. The reagent uses a mouse monoclonal antibody for high specificity. Reagents are ready-to-use liquid form and do not require mixing, dilution, or any sample preparation. Linear range is 1.0 to 100 µIU/mL.
