LabWare Inc released Clinical Health Solution 5.06, an updated version of its laboratory information management system (LIMS) designed for clinical diagnostics and public health laboratory operations.
The new release includes enhanced features aimed at improving operational efficiency, streamlining workflows, and expanding capabilities in billing, data management, and laboratory communications, according to the Wilmington, Delaware-based company.
“Clinical Health 5.06 reflects our ongoing commitment to drive improved clinical laboratory operational efficiency with innovative LIMS capabilities,” says Ed Krasovec, director of clinical solutions at LabWare, in a release. “This version was released utilizing LabWare’s automated testing tool, which allowed for a more rigorous and expanded validation testing footprint and will streamline testing for future versions.”
Enhancements in Clinical Health 5.06 include:
- Out-of-the-Box Billing Module: Laboratory billing is now included as a standard feature, eliminating the need for optional add-ons and simplifying implementation for clients who require comprehensive billing functionality.
- Enhanced Result Review Dashboards: Streamlined result verification with improved user interfaces and data visualization, reducing review time and boosting confidence in result accuracy.
- Refined Send-Out Functionality: Updates to the send-out process offer more efficient coordination with referral laboratories, including better tracking and management of external lab requests.
- Advanced Contact Management: Upgraded tools for documenting and managing customer communications and issue resolution.
- Master Data Management Dashboard: Redesigned dashboard for more granular control over master data elements such as test catalogs and submitters.
- Role Definition Enhancements: Reorganized and ready-to-use role definitions offer increased flexibility and clarity for lab administrators managing access control and user permissions.
- Smarter Search Functions: Improved template-driven search and data visualization capabilities and an improved search for reference range records, allowing LIMS administrators to create and update reference ranges more efficiently.
- HL7 Order Flexibility: Enhanced support for HL7 interface workflows enables automatic flagging of tests that are added or canceled during order processing, improving quality control and oversight.
