The collaboration aims to address payer complexity and rising claim denials affecting independent and hospital-based laboratories.
Synergen Health has formed a partnership with Lighthouse Lab Services to provide revenue cycle management solutions specifically designed for clinical laboratories facing increasing financial pressures.
The collaboration combines Synergen’s AI-driven technology platform with Lighthouse’s laboratory consulting expertise to help labs improve collections, reduce claim denials, and strengthen financial sustainability. The partnership targets challenges including payer complexity and rising denial rates that affect both independent and hospital-based laboratories.
“Laboratories face increasing payer complexity, rising denials, and financial pressures that generic billing tools can’t solve,” says Teri Gatchel-Schmidt, vice president of consulting and business development at Synergen Health, in a release. “Our people-powered, process-driven, AI-enabled platform is built for the lab market. By working with Lighthouse, more labs will be able to transform their revenue cycle and focus on delivering high-quality diagnostics.”
Addressing Laboratory-Specific Revenue Challenges
The partnership addresses revenue cycle challenges specific to laboratory operations, where complex test coding, varied payer requirements, and specialized billing processes can create bottlenecks in collections. Synergen’s platform incorporates analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotic process automation tailored for laboratory workflows.
Lighthouse Lab Services brings laboratory operations expertise to the collaboration, having expanded from clinical laboratory staffing into full laboratory consulting and management services following its 2020 merger with Elite Diagnostics.
“Lighthouse Lab Services is committed to bringing RCM solutions to our clients that support the benefits that Synergen provides,” says Ann Lambrix, executive director of RCM consulting at Lighthouse Lab Services, in a release. “With continued challenges that plague a lab’s revenue cycle, Lighthouse strives to partner with best-in-class platforms that will support our client’s success.”

Synergen Health operates across more than 45 states and specializes in digitizing healthcare revenue cycle processes. The Dallas-based company was founded in 2011 and focuses on maximizing revenue potential through technology-driven approaches to collections and denial management.
