The DX-8 Series system combines CBC+DIFF, CRP, SAA, and HbA1c testing in a single platform with throughput up to 100 tests per hour.
Medmay has launched the DX-8 Series Auto Hematology Analyzer, a compact system designed to perform multiple testing functions within a single integrated platform for clinical laboratories.
The system supports CBC+DIFF, CRP, SAA, and HbA1c testing in one unit, combining hematology and specific protein analysis capabilities. The analyzer delivers throughput of up to 80 tests per hour for CBC+DIFF testing, while CRP and SAA testing can reach 100 tests per hour.
The DX-8 Series features a full touch screen interface with built-in computer system and includes an integrated air compressor to reduce external dependencies and laboratory footprint requirements. The system requires 20μL sample volume for CBC+DIFF testing and 42μL for combined hematology and HbA1c analysis.
Sample Compatibility and Design Features
The analyzer is compatible with multiple sample types including whole blood, pre-diluted samples, serum, and plasma. The system’s design incorporates space-saving elements with the integrated computer and air compressor components built into the unit.
The touch screen interface provides navigation controls for laboratory workflow management. The compact design aims to address space constraints in clinical laboratory environments while maintaining testing capabilities across multiple assay types.
The system’s multi-functional testing approach aims to allow laboratories to perform hematology analysis alongside specific protein testing and diabetes monitoring through HbA1c measurement within the same platform, potentially reducing the need for separate instrumentation for these testing categories.
