HIV 1/2 Assay
Includes single-use dilution buffer
Chembio_DPP HIV 12 250
The DDP HIV 1/2 Assay from Chembio Diagnostic Systems, Medford, NY, is a single-use, immunochromatographic test that enables rapid detection of antibodies to human immunodeficiency virus types 1 and 2 (HIV 1/2) in oral fluid and all blood matrices, including fingerstick whole blood, venous whole blood, serum, or plasma samples. The assay is intended for use as a point-of-care test and is suitable for use in multi-test algorithms that have been established in many countries or as a stand-alone initial test. This kit features Chembio’s new SampleTainer, which contains a premeasured, single-use dilution buffer within a closed vial that also serves as a dropper for performing the assay. Each test is supplied with a blood-collection loop, oral swab, SampleTainer, and test device.

Influenza A&B Test
Results within 15 minutes
The BinaxNow Influenza A&B test from Alere, Waltham, Mass, is intended to aid in the rapid differential diagnosis of influenza A and B viral infections. The in vitro immunochromatographic assay provides qualitative detection of influenza A and B nucleoprotein antigens in nasopharyngeal swab, nasal swab samples, and nasal wash/aspirate specimens. With results available within 15 minutes, the lateral-flow test requires minimal hands-on time and provides clearly readable results. The BinaxNow demonstrates sensitivity of 70% to 89% for flu A and 50% to 69% for flu B, and specificity of 90% to 99% for flu A and 94% to 100% for flu B. Each kit contains internal controls and has a shelf life of 24 months from date of manufacture.

Trichomonas Test
For the most common sexually transmitted infection
Sekisui_Trichomonas-Rapid_181 250
The OSOM Trichomonas rapid test from Sekisui Diagnostics, Lexington, Mass, is the only CLIA-waived rapid test for the detection of trichomoniasis, the most common and curable nonviral sexually transmitted infection. If untreated, infection can lead to infertility, cervical cancer, and increased risk of HIV/HSV. The OSOM test delivers results in less than 10 minutes without a live sample by detecting the antigen. A recent independent study found that the OSOM test displayed a sensitivity of 100% and specificity of 99.6% when compared to culture. No equipment or specialized training is required.

HIV-1 Antibody Test
Results in less than 3 minutes
MedMira_Reveal_Lab Test 250
The Reveal G3 Rapid HIV-1 Antibody test from MedMira, Canada, is a rapid, qualitative immunoassay to detect antibodies to human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) in human serum or plasma. Designed for occupational exposures, labor and delivery rooms, and emergency department settings, this point-of-care HIV-1 test provides results in less than 3 minutes. The Reveal G3 is comprised of a single-use test cartridge containing an immunoreactive test membrane, which includes a combination of synthetic peptides corresponding to conserved regions of HIV structural proteins coated onto a membrane matrix. Following application of a serum or plasma sample, captured anti-HIV-1 antibodies are visualized through a reaction with the InstantGold Cap. The test is manually performed and visually interpreted.
