Using biomarkers in cells shed from the lining of the colon, DNA analysis of stool samples can help identify viral and bacterial pathogens, as well as detect colon cancer. The DiaSorin Liaison Ixt/Arrow stool DNA extraction kit uses magnetic bead technology to extract highly purified DNA from fecal samples to detect gastrointestinal diseases such as C. difficile, Helicobacter pylori, rotavirus, and enterohemorrhagic Escherichia coli (EHEC).

Designed for use with the automated DiaSorin Liaison Ixt/Arrow instruments, the kit yields genomic, bacterial, and viral DNA to be used in polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and other downstream applications. The kit increases throughput by processing up to 12 fecal samples at once in less than 50 minutes with low occurrence of PCR-inhibitory substances. Necessary reagents are available in prefilled cartridges.
