The American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) will host 12 Webinars on high-value tests for high-impact diseases.

Throughout 2012, AACC will be exploring best laboratory practices for detecting and managing four high-prevalence disease states (cardiac, diabetes, kidney and thyroid) during 12 monthly, 60-minute Webinars. The Webinars in the series can be purchased individually at the regular rate, as 3-packs by disease state (for a 15% discount), or as the entire series of 12 (for a 20% discount).

The Cardiac three-pack includes: Analytical and Clinical Issues Regarding Contemporary and High Sensitivity TNI Assays (January 10, 2012), Biomarkers of Heart Failure: Current Status and Future Promise (February 14, 2012), and The Role of Biomarkers of Inflammation in Cardiovascular Disease (March 13, 2012).

The Diabetes/Glucose Control three-pack includes The Pros and Cons of Using HbA1c for Diabetes Diagnosis (April 10, 2012), Glucose Meter Accuracy and Glycemic Control: How Good is Good Enough? (May 8, 2012), and New Recommendations for Diagnosis of Hyperglycemia in Pregnancy (June 12, 2012).

The Kidney Disease/AKI three-pack includes Biomarkers for CKD: Glomerular Filtration and Progression of Kidney Disease (July 10, 2012), Biomarkers for Chronic Kidney Disease: Urine Albumin and Multi-markers (August 14, 2012), and Biomarkers for Acute Kidney Injury: Now and the Future (September 11, 2012).

The Thyroid Disease three-pack includes Perspectives in Thyroid Testing: Pros and Cons of Immunoassay and Mass Spectrometry (October 9, 2012), Effective Laboratory Testing for Thyroid Health during Pregnancy (November 13, 2012), and Role of Clinical Lab Testing in Diagnosis and Management of Thyroid Cancer (December 11, 2012).
