Air Science_Purair-20 400The Purair 20 ductless fume hood from Air Science, Fort Myers, Fla, is designed to provide operator protection when using hazardous substances. A face velocity of 100 fpm ensures containment of fumes, while an alarm alerts the operator when airflow falls to an unacceptable level. All mechanisms in the head section are located on the clean side of the filter, with the switches and electrical components isolated from contamination. The main filter is available in 14 different types of carbon, including specialty media for vapors of organics, solvents, acids, mercury, and formaldehyde. HEPA filters for particulate filtration are also available to suit various application needs. The Purair 20 can be equipped with a secondary back-up filter for added protection. A removable spillage tray in the work area can be easily cleaned, and optional integral lighting is available. The Purair 20 is 49 inches wide, 27.5 inches deep, and 47.5 inches high.
