Precision manufactured in a Class 7 certified cleanroom production facility, the line of 24-, 48- and 96-tube ultra-low temperature (ULT) racks from Micronic, Lelystad, The Netherlands, meets automation-compatible dimensional footprint standards from the American National Standards Institute and the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening.?The racks incorporate features that aid in automation, including a twist-lock design that prevents tubes from turning during screw capping and decapping; lead-in tube and cover placement; closed side walls with minimal notches for optimized rack orientation; and an automation-friendly cover lock system. Traceability and reproducibility are ensured through laser-etched alphanumeric visual location aids placed on top of the racks, and a laser-etched barcode on the side of the racks. The open bottom design of the storage racks enables quick defrosting of samples. Racks may be autoclaved several times, providing cost savings over consumable sample storage products. Manufactured from virgin polycarbonate, racks are designed for ultra-low temperatures and are suited for long-term use in automated cryogenic storage facilities. For more information, visit Micronic.
