Pluggo

Inexpensive benchtop decapper

Safety in all aspects of the workplace is becoming an increasingly important issue. Manual decapping exposes the staff to repetitive stress injury in the hand and wrist, so this simple and routine task can get very expensive when measured in terms of workers’ compensation, lost work, and medical expenses. The Pluggo decapper is a safety device that eliminates repetitive stress injury and exposure to aerosols. The product is used in blood banks, chemistry, nucleic amplification testing, and in immunology, serology, virology, microbiology, coagulation, hematology, and urinalysis labs in hospitals, and in reference labs. The benchtop unit has a footprint of 16 x 10 inches and can process 3,000 tubes per hour. It can accommodate various tube sizes, and works with rubber and hemograd-type pop-off caps.
