Human Genomic DNA Reference Controls for the Cytochrome P450 2D6 gene (CYP2D6) are now available from Gentris Corp.  These controls are isolated from cells collected from individual donors using a proprietary process.

All sequences were verified by bi-directional sequencing.  Because this method does not introduce artificial DNA sequences into cell lines, the human genomic DNA reference controls most closely mimic the behavior of genomic DNA isolated from human samples.

The same genomic sequence will be available each time a control is used, thereby avoiding consistency, consent, and supply issues brought about by the practice of using leftover samples.  Each vial contains 10 µL at a concentration of 50 ng/µL.  Human Genomic DNA Reference Controls are available for research use only.  Additional controls are under development for other important genes including 2C9, 2C19, and UGT1A1.
