LGC Maine Standards, Cumberland Foreside, Maine, has released its Validate SP1 linearity and calibration verification kit specifically targeted at Cobas and Cobas Integra analyzers from Roche Diagnostics. Provided in a human-serum matrix, the kit evaluates α1-antitrypsin, complement C3, complement C4, immunoglobulin A, immunoglobulin G, immunoglobulin M, and transferrin.

Each Validate SP1 kit comes in a liquid, ready-to-use format, and is prepared using the CLSI EP06-A ‘equal delta’ sample preparation protocol, offering five distinct concentrations covering the reportable range. Users dispense the solution from each dropper bottle directly into five sample cups, and run in replicates.

The latest Validate SP1 kit complements LGC Maine Standards’ existing Validate SP2 and SP3 products; SP2 targets recoveries for albumin, ceruloplasmin, C-reactive protein, haptoglobin, poly(A)-binding protein, and rheumatoid factor; SP3 targets alpha-acid glycoprotein, antistreptolysin, beta-2 microglobulin, and immunoglobulin E. Together, the company’s Validate serum protein products target 17 analytes for fast, easy, and efficient linearity and calibration verification testing—maximizing the reportable range, while minimizing manual dilutions.
