The liquid stable Matrix Plus Chemistry Reference Kit and the stand-alone, ultra-high Matrix Plus Chemistry Reference – Level F are available from Verichem Laboratories for the calibration verification testing of creatinine assays by enzymatic and colorimetric methods.

These materials are designed to support CLIA compliance and overall system QC and are certain to meet the needs of a variety of laboratory professionals, including those performing routine diagnostic testing, clinical research applications, and in the development and manufacturing of IVD products, the company says. These ready-to-use reference materials help determine a clinical system’s bias to the true or known value and are crucial for the independent determination of test method accuracy, sensitivity, linearity, and reportable range.

The five-level Matrix Plus Chemistry Reference Kit, along with the separate Level F, features a creatinine range extending from 0.2 mg/dL to 30.0 mg/dL, with each active component concentration verified using available Standard Reference Materials from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Intended to be treated as patient specimens and suitable for a wide variety of testing analyzers, these reference materials offer an outstanding shelf-life and open-vial stability claim of 21-months from the date of manufacture. Free of surfactants, glycols, azides, and other potential interferents, these reference materials feature constant protein content and pH across all concentration levels while offering exceptional optical clarity. In addition, all levels are conveniently packaged and incorporate ergonomic designs to minimize storage requirements and contain ample 15 mL fill volumes for numerous testing events.
