The A1c-Cellular control from Streck, Omaha, Neb, is now assayed for the Beckman Coulter AU series of analyzers.
The first whole blood HbA1c control on the market with intact red blood cells, the ready-to-use liquid control tests the entire HbA1c procedure, including the lysing of the red blood cell, a step omitted with other controls. The control does not need to be reconstituted, and offers closed-vial stability of 6 months and open-vial stability of 30 days when stored at 2°C to 10°C.
