The 24- and 48-format carriers join the existing 96-format solution to provide laboratories with scalable tube processing workflows.
Azenta Life Sciences has launched 24- and 48-format cap carriers to complement its existing 96-format solution, providing laboratories with additional options for automated sample tube processing across various applications.
The expanded cap carrier range supports automated capping and de-capping of SBS-format sample storage tubes, enabling laboratories to improve process efficiency while reducing risks associated with manual cap handling. The carriers support batch filling of tubes prior to capping, which can accelerate sample preparation while minimizing contamination risk and maintaining sample integrity.
All cap carrier formats are designed for compatibility with Azenta Life Sciences Semi-Automated and Automated Screw Cap Decappers/Recappers. The carriers are stackable and reusable, available in cases of 10. Customers can select empty carriers or versions pre-filled with low-retention screw caps designed to reduce sample loss.
The 24-format and 48-format cap carriers are manufactured from polycarbonate for durability in laboratory environments.
“Azenta Life Sciences now offers a complete cap carrier portfolio that meets the needs of laboratories working with a range of sample storage tubes,” the company states in a release.
