The proteomics company will use capital to advance partner-driven product development and commercial operations from new California headquarters.

Pictor Holdings Inc, specializing in multiplex proteomics, has closed a convertible note funding round led by existing investors to support its US market expansion and commercial operations from its newly established headquarters in Carlsbad, California.

The funding round serves as a bridge to the company’s upcoming Series A round and will support partner-driven product development initiatives, including expansion of the company’s patented PictArray platform across human and animal health applications.

“This funding accelerates our mission to enable clinical and veterinary labs to improve performance, reduce costs, and increase quality through proteomics made simple,” says Dr Jamie Platt, chief executive officer of Pictor, in a release. “We’re excited to help partners advance innovation and expand our reach to deliver affordable, scalable solutions to labs globally.”

Lead investor Marko Bogoievski says the company’s multiplex platform is designed for affordability and scalability. “With a strong leadership team and a clear global strategy, Pictor is uniquely positioned to deliver meaningful impact across both human and animal health markets,” he says in a release.

Platform Capabilities and Market Timing

Pictor’s platform delivers low per-sample pricing with turnaround times under four hours and capacity for up to 50 analytes per test across multiple sample types including blood, saliva, nasal swabs, plasma, and milk. The technology enables rapid development of tests capable of simultaneously detecting multiple biomarkers from a single sample.

The funding announcement comes following the recent US federal court ruling in ACLA et al v FDA, which reaffirmed the established pathway for diagnostics as professional services in properly credentialed laboratories. This ruling allows labs to address heightened demand for more affordable, innovative diagnostics.

Technology Platform

The company’s platform is powered by its patented PictArray, PictImager, and AI-powered Pictorial software. Pictor focuses on flexible, targeted proteomics solutions for clinical labs, diagnostic manufacturers, and veterinary providers across infectious diseases and oncology applications.

The multiplex proteomics company serves both human and animal health markets globally from its California headquarters.
