The Laboratory Safety Institute (LSI) released its Summer 2012 schedule of lab safety training courses for industrial organizations, biopharmaceutical, forensic, environmental, hospital labs, and universities.

The 24-Hour Lab Safety Short Course (24HSC) is presented over 3 to 4 days. It provides comprehensive coverage of the fundamentals of lab safety and effective safety programs. In addition to a much more thorough discussion of the topics from the Two-Day Short Course, there are more activities, a lab tour, and additional topics including compressed gases, inspection of laboratories, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Std, radiation, and recordkeeping.

Each participant receives a certificate of completion, a complimentary 1-year membership to LSI, 1-year access to the LSI 800-number for questions and answers on all safety needs, and 2.0 continuing education units.
