The FreeZone 6 Liter Benchtop Freeze Dry System can be used for labs that have limited workspace and/or moderate sample loads. It contains no environmentally harmful chlorofluorcarbons or hydrochlorofluorocarbons.
It can be customized to specific research requirements with accessories including several drying chambers, manifold and a stoppering tray dryer. Its touch-pad control panel controls refrigeration, vacuum and LCD menu selection. Automatic one-button start-up can be used to initiate the collector cool down and vacuum pull down sequences. Refrigeration and vacuum also can be controlled manually.
An LCD gives system parameters and alarm messages, while LED waves provide a display of relative system vacuum level and collector temperature. A red alarm light alerts the operator of power failures, line voltage surges, collector temperature above –40ºC, or when the vacuum pump requires service. This system has a 1/2hp refrigeration system, which cools the collector to –50ºC (-58ºF) and removes up to four liters of water in a 24-hour period.
