Can you tell me how the CPT codes are attached, and how complex is it for our lab to create new rules?

CPT codes may be attached to specimen sources and histology procedures or profiles (panels). When a specimen or procedure/test is ordered, the CPT code is automatically ordered. WindoPath also has reflex testing rules that may be set up to add or subtract charges based on the results that are entered into WindoPath. The process of adding a new reflex rule requires basic knowledge of the WindoPath database structure (provided during training). Adding CPT codes to specimens and/or procedures/tests is extremely easy.
