Physicians providing services to Medicare patients can see the 74 performance quality measures they will be held to in deciding 2007 bonuses.

Part of the voluntary Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI) run by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the program was started in December 2006 to give payment of up to 1.5% on top of physicians’ regular Medicare fees.

The first PQRI period is from July 1 through December 31 and no prior registration is needed to be a part of the program. Data reported under the program will not be publicly reported.
