As this issue hits the web, most of us are preparing for the largest trade show in our industry, and the team at CLP is no exception. CLP‘s associate editor, Stephen Noonoo, and I expect to find ourselves with packed schedules as we fit in all the media events, lunches, press briefings, and presentations—along with visiting all the booths we can fit in. If you’d like us to stop by, it isn’t too late to send an e-mail or pick up the phone and let us know what you’ll be featuring this year. Also, while at the show, please feel free to swing by CLP‘s booth at any time and say hello—we’ll be headquartered at booth #4156.

If you’ve been following us on this Web site for the past 6 months you’ll know that CLP has been steadily expanding our presence in the digital realm. This month, as we gear up for AACC, we began broadcasting product showcase interviews with a number of prominent vendors in the clinical lab space. Look for the podcast icon in the Media Center box in the upper right of the home page, where you can listen directly or download the discussions.

Each podcast is brief—about 5 minutes—and offers an excellent way to preview the products that industry leaders will be featuring at this year’s show, as well as learn about their participation in scientific sessions, poster presentations, booth demonstrations, and any other special events. This issue also includes our first AACC preview supplement, with tips from company executives on what to look for during the meeting.

During the show, Stephen and I will also be blogging daily, which you can follow at www.clpmag.com/blogs/clp-blog/. Tune in to get fresh news about the trends we’re seeing emerge; new products and demos; and our take on news briefings, booth presentations, and more.

I’d also like to remind you once more that CLP has a page now on Facebook, which you can find by clicking the Facebook icon on the home page (right below the News Stories). Join our growing group of friends, and be sure to contact CLP‘s associate editor, Stephen Noonoo, with any ideas or questions about the page ().
