SL01.jpg (9532 bytes)A collection of non-assayed sera for in vitro diagnostic use, obtained from 100 individual blood bank donors, is provided for quality assurance and quality control of serology. This can be useful when a new diagnostic test is implemented, for training new technologists and to determine disease specificity of currently used diagnostic tests.

The collection approximates a cross-section of the adult U.S. population. Demographics are provided for each individual sample. Each specimen meets the current virus screening requirements for blood transfusion. The sera comes in boxes of screw-cap tubes, each box containing 0.5 or 0.1mL of serum.TheraTest Laboratories
