This Magnetic LDL is an advanced method for LDL cholesterol determination for Vitros analyzers.
The magnetic LDL method requires no centrifugation and is unaffected by triglyceride samples up to 1000mg/dL. Workflow is further improved with on-line applications for Vitros instruments. The method does not rely on estimating the VLDL (required by the Friedewald calculated method), and is not dependent on fasting patients. It can be more precise than a calculated LDL value.
The Magnetic LDL Reagent rapidly precipitates the LDL while leaving HDL and VLDL in the supernatant solution. The reaction takes place directly on Vitros analyzers.
