Mitos In-line Connector System
For uninterrupted liquid flow
Dolomite, Royston, UK, introduces its new Mitos In-line Connector System, featuring a single multiway connection. It provides in-line sealing and highly accurate alignment between the tubes, enabling uninterrupted liquid flow. Available in three standard sizes—four-, eight- and 12-way—the connector operates over a wide temperature (-15°C to 250°C) and pressure range (up to 10bar). A low dead volume reduces the risk of cross-contamination between fluid samples, thereby maintaining experimental integrity.
Ovation Multichannel Pipettes
Featuring an updated tip handling system
VistaLab Technologies, Brewster, NY, has updated its Ovation Multichannel Pipette product line with changes to the tip handling system, including a 50% drop in tip-insertion forces and line-of-sight enhancements, which complement the pipette’s audible click to further minimize physical effort when acquiring pipette tips. Four 12-channel models are available for precision liquid dispensing from 0.5 µL to 850 µL. Four eight-channel models cover pipetting needs from 0.5 µL to 1,250 µL. With just a single keystroke, the user can select Pipette, Reverse Pipette, Mix, Multiple Dispense, or Serial Dilute liquid handling functions. Three user-defined volume settings can be stored for later recall with a single keystroke.
CIL91000TN Cryogenic Storage Labels
Can withstand temperatures down to -196°C
Computer Imprintable Label Systems (CILS), Burlington, Mass, launches its new CIL91000TN range of self-laminating labels, which have been developed to survive cryogenic storage. CILS cryogenic labels incorporate a clear wraparound tail to permanently protect computer-printed variable data, providing clear and reliable identification. The vial and tube labels are waterproof and can withstand multiple freeze-thaw cycles, water baths, solvents, abrasion, and long-term storage in liquid nitrogen and ultra-low-temperature freezers. They can be printed in-lab via PC and laser or thermal transfer printer.
