ADP and collagen Plateletworks reagents are now available for qualitative and quantitative platelet analysis at the point of care. ADP is used to monitor metabolic activation and collagen is used to monitor glycoprotein activation.
Designed for the cardiac catheterization lab or surgical unit, Plateletworks can monitor CBC, platelet count and real platelet aggregation in less than 5 minutes using whole blood. Plateletworks can be used pre-, peri- and post-procedurally for monitoring platelet count and function, even under conditions of destruction from by-pass pumps or anti-platelet therapeutics. Plateletworks is unaffected by dilution effects or heparin concentration.
