For the fifth time in 6 years SCC Soft Computer was named by Training magazine as being among the world’s top companies for employee-sponsored workforce training and development.
The company first appeared at 93 in the inaugural issue of the top 100 in 2001. This year, SCC is 14 in what is now a list of 125 companies. Ritz-Carlton Hotel ranked first, with Pricewaterhouse-Coopers taking second and Lockheed Martin, Verizon Wireless, and General Mills all making it into the top 15.
SCC made the list based on its qualitative and quantitative response to the publication’s questionnaire, as well as the company’s multipronged approach to career counseling, English as a second language tutoring program to assist workers with developing English-language skills, virtual and traditional management training for remote employees, and team-building and train-the-mentor courses for both management and nonmanagerial staff.
The president of SCC said that the employees education, training, and development are top priorities of the company
