Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics has announced that Donal Quinn has been appointed to AdvaMed Dx’s Board of Directors. Quinn joins an 18-member Board comprised of executives from leading diagnostic companies worldwide.

AdvaMed Dx, a division of AdvaMed (Advanced Medical Technology Association), was recently formed to advance the public policy priorities of AdvaMed’s diagnostic member companies and provide a dedicated vehicle that represents the interests of the in vitro diagnostics industry.

"I am extremely pleased to help support AdvaMed Dx in addressing the unique regulatory, legislative, reimbursement and legal issues facing the diagnostic industry," said Quinn. "I look forward to playing an integral role in the organization’s success moving forward."

"We are pleased to welcome Siemens as a member of AdvaMed Dx, and we look forward to having the benefit of Donal Quinn’s leadership on the Board of Directors," said Steve Ubl, president and CEO of AdvaMed. "The interest in AdvaMed Dx by such industry leaders as Siemens is very encouraging, and I believe it demonstrates the need for a dedicated organization that is singularly focused on the advocacy priorities of in vitro diagnostics companies."
