The first event in the Healthy People 2020 Webinar series will focus on health care-associated infections (HAIs). The Webinar will highlight the importance of this public health issue, provide an overview of the related Healthy People 2020 objectives, and provide action steps that health care and public health professionals can take to prevent HAIs.
The Webinar aims to raise awareness of the burden of HAIs; provide an opportunity for leaders in the field of HAIs to discuss policies and strategies to prevent central-line associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI) and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) infection; provide examples of outstanding leadership in CLABSI prevention; and stimulate further action to reduce HAIs in health care facilities, public health organizations, and local communities nationwide
The Webinar takes place on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm EDT.
