Bio-Rad Laboratories, Hercules, Calif, has launched its SARS-CoV-2, flu, RSV positive and negative run controls. The products enable laboratories to evaluate day-to-day and lot-to-lot variation of their multiplexed molecular assay and to test for operator proficiency.
The SARS-CoV-2, Flu, RSV Positive Run Control is manufactured with whole organism SARS-CoV-2, influenza A, influenza B, and RSV (A). The product is formulated in a synthetic matrix and contains human genomic DNA.
The SARS-CoV-2, Flu, RSV Negative Run Control is negative for SARS-CoV-2, influenza A, influenza B, and RSV (A) and is formulated in a synthetic matrix and contains human genomic DNA.
Both products are part of Exact Diagnostics range of quality control products and are available in kits of five vials, have a 1.0 mL fill volume, and can be stored at -20°C or below.
