The new pipettes provide quick-switch dual volume settings, enhanced ergonomics, and packaging made from recyclable materials.
Eppendorf has launched the Research 3 neo mechanical pipettes, designed to deliver improved accuracy, precision, and ergonomics for laboratory professionals. The pipettes are now available in EMEA and the Americas following their August release in Asia.
The Research 3 neo features dual volume settings that allow users to quickly switch between accelerated volume selection and fine-tuned adjustments. A new volume lock feature prevents unintentional volume changes during use. The pipettes include adjustable settings to accommodate different liquid types, tip geometries, reverse pipetting, and altitude variations without requiring recalibration.
“We are extremely proud to introduce the latest generation of mechanical pipettes, the Research 3 neo. Our mission has been to create a pipette that is the perfect fit for all new users, in terms of its adaptability and accessories, as well as its comfort and performance,” says Christiane Markau, product innovation manager at Eppendorf SE, in a release.
Performance and Design Features
The mechanical air-cushion pipette consistently performs beyond ISO 8655 test limits when used with epTIPS pipette tips. The device incorporates ColorTag changeable marking rings for reversible labeling solutions to increase versatility across applications.
Ergonomic improvements include a lightweight, well-balanced design with low tip attachment and ejection forces. The pipettes are constructed from high-quality materials and undergo extensive testing to ensure durability in laboratory environments.
The Research 3 neo is manufactured in an ISO 14001 certified facility powered by renewable energy. The pipettes come in recycled and recyclable packaging and are compatible with BioBased pipette tips made from 100% biobased polypropylene using a mass-balance approach.
